It's been so long since I've been on here .. now I need to catch up with the forum, plus update everyone about George!

If you recall (anyone who read my posts previously) I got George in December as a Christmas present for my 7yr old daughter. George was under weight and in poor spirits when he came to our home.
He is an X-Race Horse and then X-Amish Horse who's spirits have been broken.
I had a few little issues with him when I first got him ... he didn't like me being in his stall with him to much.

UPDATE - Now I can go in his stall and brush him all out, etc. ... he even lets us pet him now and doesn't "always" turn away. Sometimes (depends on what mood he's in I guess) he actually enjoys it :)

Another update - George has a buddy!! We decided to get another horse and "Dani" (a registered AQH mare) came into our lives! We got her in March.
Her and George had their issues at first, but once they established who the boss would be they became buddies. The benefit each other in so many ways!
Dani is a very affectionate, nosy horse ... and if you remember my posts about George - he was NEVER affectionate in the least and would act like he wants nothing to do with you or whatever you're doing (unless it's feed time;) ) well now George has become more affectionate and almost jealous when we're petting Dani. So he has really come around to wanting our attention!

Dani was with her previous owner for 9 years. For the past 2-3 years they haven't rode her at all ... so we weren't sure how she'd act to get back in the saddle again. I saddled her up last week and she did GREAT!

Back to George - he still needs to put more weight on. We're working on it. I hope he isn't going to be a tough keeper. Time will tell.

So ... that pretty much updates you all!
P.S. Dani is a beautiful registered QH with Zippo lines in her - I'll admit that it has crossed my mind to get her bred. The previous owners told me that their vet was always after them to breed her. I'm thinking about it  Just never bred a horse before - so I'm not sure if I want to go down that road or not.
