"Gladis" needs a new name

I'm sorry but Gladis just doesn't sit right with me.

Her registered name is Sligo's Secret. She's an OTTB and I get her tomorrow.

So.. she's 17hh, 4yo, and needs a better name!!!

When I saw her I thought "Aztec"

I really like the name Aztec too. But here's a few more if you don't like it.

Ohh I like Aztec and Coco.

I know, Gladis is a bit so, so, but it's her paddock name isn't it (not her 'show' name)?
Does she respond to it? If she does, I'd be inclined to leave it. You do get used to it.

We had an OTTB named Bangers. I didn't like it, but he came to that name and knew who you were talking to using it. I did give him a flash competition name but kept Bangers for his everyday one. I got used to it and don't even think about whether I like it or not now.

Good point but it reminds me of one of my stepmothers and she was a heinously evil kiwi that I'd rather not be reminded of.

Rofl !

This was a name I have in line for my new mare. But if you want you can use it.

What a pretty girl! I agree, Gladis is pretty awful xD
I really like Coco, I can totally see her being a Coco =)

Along the lines of Coco there is the name Chanel or Chanelle.

Anyways, congrats on your new girl and let us know what you decide to call her :)

ETA: looking closer at some of the names mentioned I see someone mentioned the name I typed above.
