I am so sorry to hear that Golden Horse I know how you feel. We just sold our Charlie boy and Dakota the paint. Seeing Charlie go was the hardest thing I have done in a long time. We just couldnt afford the up keep on one income and I hope to find work soon. They went to good homes, but I miss them very much.

I'm sorry you are having to say goodbye to some friends... But you can find comfort in the fact that they are going to wonderful homes! You enriched their lives and they, and you, are better for it.

I don't meant to pry, but who said you had to get down to 4? Am I missing something?

Not prying at all....husband set the 4 cap, because he knew that I would struggle with a number, but don't cast him as the bad guy here.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am usually open in what I share, so here is what I am comfortable telling you on this one, sharing because maybe it will help other people I was going to type it here but bumped it up to a thread off its own Why Golden horse isn't so Golden anymore, spin off thread and cautionary tale!

I applaud what you've done but know it wasn't easy. I read your list and immediately wondered where Ace was. Glad to know she's still in your life and ours. I think the whole forum came to feel like we owned her too during the eternal foaling thread!

BigGrey- this is exactly my reaction- I was reading through the names, thinking, "no ACE?!?!" Phew!

So should you be re-named to the "Bay Horse" from now on?

You have evolved in your horse ownership. It is as natural as breathing!! LOL!

Now, your name "Golden Horse" will have to refer to your being as good as gold with a noble REAL GOLD horse leading your way.
