GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! POUR YOURSELF A CUP OF JO AND ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL MORNING!
Our morning temps are in the 70's which is sooooooooooooo nice. Just sat on the patio to have some morning jo while enjoying a crisp morning air.
I finally made it to my weekend. Don't have too much planned except my son's football game Thursday afternoon.
Hope your wood delivery came and that fence is finished without splinters.
Hope all is well. In worse case, I have a few wine corks!
A couple tylenol and a hot jet bath will help girls night out.
And everyone else, I hope the work week is easy on you and for those who are in school, may the print be large enough to read and clear enough to understand.
It's getting pretty late here in the south east but Good Morning anyway.
I saddled up and took a "training" ride this morning. First time since Friday and Bobo must have thought he was on vacation. He was as balky as all get-out and a few times I though we were going to rodeo but he changed his mind.
Need another cup of coffee. I've been up since ~4:30 and it seems like my day should be over instead of still beginning. UGH, back to the computer and work .... where's the coffee?!
I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong. It's not always what you say but what they hear.
Hey all! Lunchtime now...
Thanks for the cork, Gaited. LOL, am ok now, just a bit sluggish and lightheaded from water loss.
I haven't seen the beagles all morning... they must have found a coon in the lower corn - I know they had headed out that way first thing about dawn. Heard one scent, then all three baying happily...
We won't start chopping the corn for another 2 weeks... so I am **** nervous about the FOUR hurricanes in the forecast. It doesn't take tremendous rain or winds to knock corn down. A lot of farmers experimented with no-till corn this year. Gotta try to make ends meet, and fuel is so precious right now! ( getting the ground ready is a lot more than just planting the seed.) Anyway, this corn has very shallow roots. This is a scary, nail biting time!
Didn't get to visit my horses this day off. :( but at least I know there are fed, and frolicking in a herd on huge pasture.
It's high noon here and you wouldn't even know it.....RAIN!!!!!!!! and a lot of it! We are getting whats left of hurricane....brainfart...whatever his name is...Gosh I can't believe the name is escaping me! Anyways, We have had 4" in the last 24 hours and its supposed to keep coming down until Friday or Saturday. I'm going to need a boat to get the kids to the school bus! We live in a great little valley (holler :P ) but the downside is that the creek that runs out front floods our driveway making it almost impassable for the kids on foot. Hopefully the rain will come slow enough that the creeks can carry it off without major flooding. This spring we had a few days when it wasn't safe to cross several of the low water bridges.
Enough boo hooing...At least its nice and cool outside!
Hope ya'all are having a good day!!
Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.
Well I stayed home from school today.. because we went to this wedding my grama put together.. And everyone left and only 5 people were left to clean up after EVERYONE  They started the wedding at 7:45
so we were there till 12:30 am cleaning the church and kitchen and I was exausted.. So i slept till 11:00 am this morning.. Got a nice bath and need to go groom the pony.. :)
Good afternoon Its way past nap time and I missed it today. Oh well, got my floor planks down so now the barn is ready for the hay.
No more putting it on tarps and having the bottom all rotted by spring.
We are getting the Gustav (thats it Dumas) rain too. Kinda odd thinking the rain falling and the wind blowing came all the way from Africa to Kansas I don't remember a hurricane ever making a dent this far north. Oh well never gripe about rain, God may take you serious.
