    Got to get motivated!

So I have to get my butt motivated!!! Of course the lack of sunshine doesn't help. Anyhow I had 3 perfectly great opportunities to ride this past week and passed up on all of them including today which is now beautiful outside and I feel bad! I should be riding outside my one week lesson, I should be working trigger on the barrel pattern, but I work so much all I want to do is sleep in my free time! Sorry for complaining since it's totally my own fault I haven't been going to ride. Anyone else having a hard time?

Its hard changing a routine. All you have to do is force yourself to ride two or three times and you'll be back in that grove.

I work 57 hours a week with minimum exercise during work then spend 2-3 hours after work tending to horses, pasture and yard. I don't feel like walking at 9pm then shower and go to bed so I force myself to keep my walking shoes in the truck. Get home, change shoes and go for walk before going to the pasture barn. I can stand working out there with the horses til midnight and not be upset about lost sleep. Lol

Figure out which order gives you the maximum output and least resistance so you look forward to doing it. With me going for the walk as soon as I get home allowed me to visit with some of my neighbors who haven't gone to bed by 9 and still get my horse craving satisfied. Another thing I realized is I'm not tired after the walk before going to the barn, as to where, I felt exhausted when it came time to go for the walk or would deliberately spend too long at the barn and not have time to go walk.

I think I'm going to put a schedule on my wall and on my phone until I get back into the swing of it. Sad part is once I'm at the barn I don't want to leave! It's just the getting up and going part.

Now that it's nicer out, the days are longer I've been getting outside and grooming horses or walking dogs.....I would rather be outside than inside cleaning or working.....

Well we still have 1 1/2 feet of snow in our round pen LOL but the snow has finally melted off the roads, so I can at least take the dogs for walks, horses for walks or go for a ride.......still not normal temps here though.......
