As far as your rant about your luck, just how long do you think the furlough is going to last? If a few weeks means the difference between you adopting a mustang or not, then you apparently don't truly have the funds or resources.

There are real people out there wondering how they're going to pay their bills, and you're throwing a temper tantrum because you can't have what you want when you want it. Unbelievable.[/QUOTE]

I'd hardly call that a temper tantrum. She is just a bit miffed that she has to wait, not so unbelievable. Seems like the both of you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

There are other rescue programs. Where are you located?
Adoption | Corolla Wild Horses | Corolla Wild Horse Fund
Saddle Tramp Horsemanship helps problem horses, trains mustangs

If you want a Mustang, keep looking! Just because the government has stopped adoptions temporarily does not mean there aren't plenty of them in rescues somewhere!

Yes, the feral horses are an invasive species, but the few that are actually adopted make very little headway in solving the environmental impact they have on the ecosystem.

First of all, I was adding humor into this. My luck sucks, and I find it funny. I know people have bigger problems, and I am not even saying mine comes close to those. You're unbelievable for getting so defensive about it. Second of all, I have plenty of money and resources for this. It was more of a side note to the topic of what will happen to the mustangs.

And as for the predators, I mean they will go after other animals first. Ones that are less likely to leave a fatal injury.

Near Reno, NV. I don't want to travel too far, though I am willing to pay for someone to bring me the horse. As for the BLM there is a holding pen just outside of it, Palomino Valley, I believe.
