Okay first off, had a awesome lesson yesterday on Oliver!
The big news, got to go see the barn my trainer is moving to, we move there on the 1st if febuary! The barn we are at now just has not been working out for us, the barn manager is a jerk, he cut our pasture turnout from 3 pastures to...1 and it's big but it's there the huge manure pile! Like hugeeeee
They stopped up keep on the arena, are not feeding at the hours they told us in the lease, not feeding correctly sometimes! There horses are always getting loose, just a distaster and getting worse (many other things I am not putting in here)
Anyways good news...saw the barn we are moving to, lease gets signed tomorrow!
So here is all the new barn has:
Heated tack room with lockers
Heated bathroom in the barn
Hot/cold wash rack with heat lamps
Skylights in the stalls
Heated viewing room to watch lessons
Individual bigger paddocks that are mud free! (they will be out all day!)
Two bigger grassy paddocks, can put a jump course in the bigger of the two!
Big outdoor round pen, with footing that holds during the winter months!
Beautiful landscaping (bonus for sale pictures of the horses)
It's a dream come true, my trainer is wonderful and very much deserves a place like this! She will be the barn manager and we will be the only ones using the place besides the owner who only has two horses, mare and a colt.
Down the road is an outdoor arena perfect walking distance (on the same driveway) so since we have insurance we will be asking if we can use it when the weather is a bit nicer for a small fee :)
I'm so excited to have something like this to look forward to too!
I'll be cleaning twice a week, in the summer 3 or 4 days :) So as soon as I get back from my week vacation in Hawaii I'll be hauling Oliver over there!
I didn't get pictures but you can be sure that when we get settled in and the craziness of moving all the horses and such I'll be out with my camera!
