I have such a good horse! I havent been able to ride Shaggy in two weeks due to taking care of Blaze and going on vacation. So I figured Shaggy was going to be terror in the saddle, but he wasn't! He was so good! And to top things off the BOs are mowing the field again so the top where I ride was nice and flat! After I warmed him up I took outside the ring and rode where had been mowed cause its a big area and I had also set up some ground poles over there. Usually out in the field his attention goes all over due to the other horses. So I circled him around the area 3 times and got his complete attention! I can really tell a difference since I took lessons from the new trainer for awhile. I havent been able to much over the summer cause i've been so busy then everything happened with Blaze. But just little changes to my position and hands and keeping looking forward makes all the difference! I could really tell trotting those ground poles today! This was one the best rides i've had in awhile! I love my horse! The only problem thru the whole ride was him throwing his head some while I was trotting him. Would anyone know why he might be doing that? I don't think its his teeth. The vet say they were in great shape last time he checked them. Maybe the bit?
