Happy mouth bit recall

Received an email from Dover Saddlery today-(I'm on their emailing list), regarding the recall of 8 of the Happy Mouth bit types. No info was provided regarding the reason. If you own one, I would do a google search for necessary information. I don't own a horse, thus, no bits, but since I got a notification, wanted to make folks aware in case notifications were not/could not be sent to purchasers who used cash, are not on Happy Mouth's/saddlery stores mailing list, etc... Best of luck! Oh, and if anyone gets more info, please post for any other owners of this type of bit?? Thanks!! :0)

Here's more info on the recall

English Riding Supply Recalls Wire Mouth Bits for Horses Due to Risk of Injury

According to the above link, the steel braided wire that connects the bit to either side of the horse's cheeks can become frayed, rusted, or worn causing the bit to break.
