Happy Valley Stables Burns

Please keep the owners of Happy Valley Stables in your thoughts and prayers. Over thirty horses perished in a massive fire that destroyed two barns. Millions of dollars of equipment and horses were lost. This is such a horrific thing to imagine. My heart breaks for the owners and people involved.

Oh my God you almost gave me a heart attack. My old barn is called Happy Valley Stables. I was so near to calling my BO before watching the video.

It's tragic either way- they are in my thoughts. That's a huge, huge tragedy, and I'm sure many people are heartbroken. A good reminder to always have a fire plan, and to practice it occasionally.

How horrible! From the video that fire was huge - it took them 8 hours to put it out. My thoughts are with the owners who lost their horses in the fire.

Horses lend us the wings we lack;

.

"State fire officials say 35 horses were killed when fire swept through stables at a property in north-west Georgia on Thursday night."

That is just NW of me by 40 miles, heard it on the local news, it was soooo terrible....

This is an enormous tragedy, not only for the owner and her beloved horses, but for the American Saddlebred breed. I know Ms. Hutcheson was extremely particular about her horses and barn, so I can't imagine how this happened.

This is so tragic. My thoughts go out to everyone affected and I hope that they are able to cope and heal.

Oh, how heartwrenching. They'll be in my thoughts.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/
