Hardest Part of Horse Ownership?

To all the horse owners, what do you think is/are the hardest part(s) of owning a horse?

The mud. All of the carnivorous MUD!

Losing them.

Everything else is just a learning experience.

The fear that he will injure himself in some way or another.

Finding enough time (and sometime money).

Agreed. At my age, I actually take comfort that our mares will probably outlive me and my wife, and that we've arranged for their care if/when something happens to us.

Losing my horses and the amount of money they require.

Money.

I don't like mud either.

And being wise, like knowing which battles you can win and admitting to the ones you can't.

Losing them and them getting injured or out of the fence.
