Exclamation Has anyone heard of the TWH abuse?

Hi guys! I was wondering if any of you have heard of Tennessee Walking Horse abuse video on youtube, video here:

What do you think of it? Is it true? Does anyone have any personal experience with related issues? :/

This has been all over the forum and many threads about it. What do I think of it? I am sickened. Do I think it is true? No doubt in my mind.

Absolutely 100% true. It is the thing nightmares are made of and morally corupt societies close their eyes to. Makes me sick isn't strong enough but not sure what else can be said. I wish I could help them all and dump all the owners, trainers, grooms, judges, vets, farriers and even spectators who do nothing, onto an island somewhere and forget about them. Sadly, I can't.

Now I remembered why I couldn't watch that entire video. There are no words to describe my discuss. I cannot wrap my head around how anyone could treat an innocent living being like that.

I know it's true, sadly.

I was horrified by it. Why do people think that its pretty? There is nothing pretty about torturing a horse. :( I was hoping it wasn't true :(

Soring used to be a very common practice for TWH trainers until it was outlawed some years ago. That doesn't stop people from doing it. I've seen some of it first hand at a show I went to years ago. My best friend and I drew attention to two horses at a show that had obviously been sored. It makes me sick! What makes it worse is that people basically get a slap on the wrist and are (as far as I know) left alone to do it again. We need harsher penalties for animal abuse. It has been proven that a lot of serial killers/murderers will torture animals before they move onto humans. Of course, not all people who abuse animals will end up being serial killers, nor will all serial killers abuse animals but there is a connection.

I say, Eye For an Eye! Why don't we sore his feet/legs and then make him stand on them for hours on end, wear chains around his ankles, and make him run around that same arena. That fat a$$ couldn't handle it! He'd probably fall out after the first few feet.. At which point we beat him with whips and boards until he gets up and starts running again.

But that's just my opinion.

Where do people even come up with things like that?! What's wrong with them?! Those people's heads should be bashed in. Then they should be sent to prison for life. Sick.

I've had yet to see that video, although I've seen a few threads on it.. now that I have, I admit that I'd love to see those men hit with a few sticks themselves, make that logs.

Horrible.. it's almost shameful to be human nowadays.

Forever loved, never forgotten; my beautiful Indie. <3 Hoofprints on my heart.

Yep. Big Lick Tennessee Walkers have been a topic of some debate.

It scores pretty high among the millions of atrocities that go on in this world.

What a man can be, he must be.
