    Have a look at him!

I saw this guy at the fair on Friday, and thought I would share a bit. This rescue was saying that he MIGHT be a gypsy drum, of course they are doing DNA testing I guess to find out for sure. I was trying to listen to the volunteer's tell me about him, however, my kid was running circles around me, screaming his head off, so I didn't hear much.

I am considering sponsoring, and volunteering some time to this program. Have a look around the site, and read Knight Rider's story.

That horse is just absolutely gorgeous. And good grief what a horrible situation he was in, I wonder who would do that to a horse....I hope they can find out who was responsible..... I am so happy to hear he's doing so well now, he's beautiful.

He surely caught my eye. If in fact he IS a drum, they wont geld him, and his adoption fee will be pretty high.

It broke my heart to hear about the kind of conditions he was living in before the rescue got to him. I just can't get over how someone could do that to ANY animal especially since this horse could be pretty valuable. Some people!

I emailed the ppl about volunteering with them. I hope to hear from them soon.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but is a drum like a vanner?

    That horse is really pretty!

I'm a bad one to ask, as I don't know much about them or Vanners, but to me, they look to be one in the same. Although I could and am probably wrong.

That breaks my heart. Why was he just left tied on a trailer? Water? Food? Oh, that makes me mad.

Haven't learned why. But really, when people do such stupidly insane things like that, are there ever any good excuses?

I believe that he's a Gypsy vanner or a Drum ( it's not said as 'gypsy drum, is it?" But I sure as heck don't know the difference.

Oh. Cool. Go here ....http://www.gcdha.com/dhstandard.htm. They are really kewel.

Imma have to agree that he HAS to be a gypsy vanner, but weither or not a vanner is the same as a drum is unclear to me.

I hope they take their time with rehabing him. I'm sure that they will, but I'd like to see him make a slow recovery vs a hurried one. I'm probably saying this out of my own selfishness seens how I'm not up for a horse for another year... lol Although the fact that he's a stallion kind of sets me back a bit. I'm not sure how I would deal with a stallion.
