I guess I had no business being around the horses today - but, as lousy as things went, some good came from it

It started when I went to mount one of my newbies - I swear I don't know what happened, but one minute my foot was in the stirrup and the next, my a** was on the ground!!!! She didn't do anything, I just fell over - hellooooo???!

As if that wasn't bad enough, the second time I tried, the whole saddle slid to the side. NOW, the good that came from that circus ... both times, she just looked at me like "what in the heck are you doing???" No spooking, no dancing, nothing! I guess my training program has been successful so far.
Then, I got on horse #2, one of my tried and true fellas. We were out riding through a couple of pastures...I was off and on numerous times for gates. Well, apparently, I was getting weak

... at the last gate, I got hung up while dismounting - didn't swing my leg high enough and it just got caught on the back of the saddle! Man, I felt like an idiot ... oh, and did I mention this all happened in front of a friend. Luckily, we've ridden together A LOT so she knows this isn't typical.
So, back to the question. Have you ever had one of those days where it all seemed to to wrong?
