Having trouble selling Ogre

    It took me several weeks to sell a filly for $150. She wasn't registered or broke (to young) and I really only bought her to keep her out of the kill pen.

    It was a lot of "Oh! We'll come on (name date)" then no-shows. Said they would call back and didn't...etc.

    In the end she DID go to a very nice home who was looking for another younger horse to train. They were very knowledgeable, polite people and gave her a thorough examination before they bought her. She was a little wary about getting into their trailer but they didn't push her or anything, let her go at her own pace. :)

    I would think $300 would be more reasonable in my area right now. Everywhere is different, though. I still think $400 is NOTHING for a pony in great shape.
