    Gosh, what a terrible thing to do to a horse who obviously was so trusting of human beings that he would lay down and roll in their presence. I am so glad he's feeling safe enough again to do this.
    Makes me appreciate my old fella who will lie down in his pasture and let me sit by him and stroke his head until he decides it's time to get up.

    Yeah he never let me lay next to him yet ever...hopefully maybe soon! He's getting more trusting....he actually turned and faced me, leaving his food, when I called him. He didn't come, but he turned around to face me (I was behind him about 30 feet away)
