I'm new to the forum.

My name is Nicole and I am going into my freshman year of high school. I live in CA but every summer I fly out to stay with family for a month or two in northeastern PA. I love it there; I made friends over the years and I get to ride at a stable that I adore.

Anyways, I made a deal with my dad that if I got all A's and B's next year, I could move out there. Last year (8th grade) I got all A's and B's and one C+ (the c+ was a 79 percent). I really REALLY want to get all A's and B's because if I do, I get to move, and there is a horse waiting for me in PA! I've been riding him a lot and I love him so much. He is an Appendix gelding and he is my baby boy!

Anyways. This is a big deal to me. I really want these grades! It's not that I don't care about school, it's just that some subjects are really hard for me. Math is my worst (that was the c I got last year).

I need some help. Can anyone give me advice on what to do to make sure I get those grades? Or can someone tell me if it is hard to get good grades in high school?

Also, what should I do to keep the grades up once I get them?

Will this year go by fast?
