Have you tried Lakota lots? Do you know that he is the right horse for you? If you guys are a good match, I also agree that you are going to have plenty of time years down the road to get yourself a foal. Not to mention that gelding is absolutely gorgeous. I would kill to have a gorgeous like that.

    Yearling
I agree with everyone else and Lakota sounds like a much better match for where you are in life. You'll have plenty of time to bring up yearlings in the future but you are going to want a horse you can ride and who will be a joy on stressful days and not just add more to it.

It sounds like he'll still be a bit of a challenge and you can feel good with what you accomplish with him but at the same time will be able to use and enjoy him and not feel frustrated waiting while your friends go riding or having to put in work work work with less payout when you are busy with college.

You've been given some excellent advice, so I'll just say that I'm leaning with what smrobs and Cinnys Whinnys said. Make a pro and con list and sometimes seeing it in black and white , everything is very clear.

    Good luck to you.

Thanks your guys! I think Im going to go with Lakota...if only it would stop raining so I could ride him some more. Any ideas on what his breed/breeds might be?
