help me!!! need to make some quick decisions!

Alright guys, so here's the deal..
I know that whatever I do after I finish school and college, I want it to have something to do with horses. I have no idea what I should major in or what college I should go to, etc.
I am a freshman and I really need to start thinking about this so I can take the classes I need that will be beneficial toward my major and to get my necessary credits to graduate. (24 credits required)
It would be awesome if you could help steer me in the right direction by making some suggestions about what I could do or what my major could be..
Thanks a bunch!

He carried me away from all my fears, and his mane was there to wipe my tears. -RIP Vegas, my best friend.

I've been looking at the University of Findlay and Black Hawk College for their equestrian science programs which would open you up to many equine related jobs. You could maybe look at those?
U of F is very expensive an BHC is actually rather cheap, if price is an influence to you.

Just a quick suggestion- look for a college that has strong academics as well as a good equestrian studies program if you want to go into the horse field. Vets are in demand at the moment, but if you were thinking trainer, etc. it can be difficult to make a living. Not saying it isn't possible, but I would suggest having something to fall back on. I've visited the University of Findlay and, while the campus was nice and they have a great equestrian studies program, their academics aren't the greatest. Just a thought.

NDSU has an Equine Studies major. I'm taking one of the classes (I go to a different college, but the 3 colleges allow you to take classes freely at the others, if that makes sense.) I would consider it a pretty good program. Before our class started, we watched another class in the arena do balance work on a lunge line. Our class today we spent on deworming. I have 3 pages of notes on deworming now.

I may transfer to NDSU to do be an equine major. There are quite a few people majoring in it. I have no idea what I'd do after school, but I'm sure I'd figure it out as I was there. It's just far more interesting than my current major and would be far more rewarding. (I'm a film major right now.)

I live in Florida currently, but there is a chance I could move to Kentucky with my friend after we graduate. I do realize that out of state tuition is so much more expensive, unless I manage to get a scholarship.

I would be interested in owning/operating a breeding farm, horse rescue farm, training, sales, etc. I juat have no idea what major would suit that area..
