Help with tracing history on my Arabian Stallion

Hi everyone,

As the title says I am trying to find out some history about my boy. He was bred in the US but as I live in the UK it is harder to do the research :( but if any of you can help I would love to hear from you!

I bought my boy in Dubai when he was 14 yrs old as a riding horse. From inspecting his passport I have concluded that he was flown there when he was 4 to race. My passport says is that he was born in the US. I have been doing online searches to try and find where he was bred but unfortunately nothing much has come up :(

Now, my boy is called CR Salute and, like I said, I think he was bred to race and flown to the UAE when he was 4. So sometime from then to when I bought him he was retired and retrained as a riding horse.

His Sire is Tiki Tessar.

His Dam is Salita Ku.

If anyone knows anything about his breeder or even anything about his dam, sire or siblings I would love to hear from you!

Sorry for the essay! But I would just love to hear more about him and his relatives.

All the best, texenstar

First, welcome to the forum.

Second, we almost DEMAND pictures here.. lol.

Third, dbarabians on this forum has recently acquired a race bred arabian named CR Rushin Sam. He may have some insight on the CR in the name and/or the breeders.

Again, welcome.

Oh, and if you are in Texas, from Texas, Love Texas (lol) , feel free to visit us on the Texas Thread.. Texas Horse Friends

I has Kontiki a couple of times in the recent past. Kontiki was a great Arabian racing stud. Not familiar with the rest of his lines, though.

Thanks for you replies! I will look into dbarabians. I am not even sure the the CR stands for! I have always assumed it was the initials of the breeder or something like that! And sorry to disappoint but I am not in Texas! Mt first pony's show name was texenstar ;) shortened to Tex.

And here are some pictures!

In Dubai -

And from today in the UK when I got him looking all pretty for my Grandma's birthday... poor, big, tough stallion

It's always a mistake asking me for picture ;)

Thanks

Hi, thanks your your reply. I have heard that Kontiki was a great racer, and it certainly shows in Salute. He is the fastest horse I have ever ridden! I have also heard that Kontiki was well known for his chilled out personality and that he passes it on to his offspring, as most people don't even realise Salute is a stallion!

Thanks :)

Tiki Tessar Arabian Have you looked this up on on allbreedpedigree.com before? You will also see pics of your boy's ancesters. Your stallion is heavily related to my 14 y.o. Gelding by Kuegar Kon. Both Kontiki and Kuegar were very tall, big arabs. Both were grey. My gelding is grey. Sadly Kuegar has no living sons to pass on the greatness. I had no idea that this would have happened way back 14 years ago or perhaps I would have not gelded my boy (Makintyme). Mak is half Polish. His mom is by Piechur. Both Kuegar and Kontiki were great racehorses here in the US. I have no doubt that your boy probably has the ability to run like the wind!

He is quite lovely, nice jumper. Try allbreedpedigree.com. I found information on my mare's sire and her dam's sire, and pics, very interesting information on them.

Cr Salute Arabian

The "CR" could be standing for Carol Rasmussen, a breeder of racing Arabians. As has been said, dbarabians has a "CR" stallion. He should find this thread eventually and possibly knows a little more.

Quite interesting and well thought out linebreeding in your horse.
