HELP in the trailer!!!!!

My horse just started to throw a fit while being trailered and I do not know why! I have been taking him to trails and things in my little 2 horse straight load. He has been fine, but stumbled a little around corners. The last 3 times we have been out we have heard this horrible banging and we thought it was just him stumbling until I rode back there with him to see what it was....he was KICKING THE DOOR!!!!! He leans all the way over onto the divider and starts kicking the door and side of the trailer! He ended up thrashing all 4 legs up around his hooves and kicked the sheet of metal off the side of the trailer where it was riveted in! Why did he start this all of a sudden and how the heck do I get him to stop?!!!

The problem is I take 2 horses when I ride because I have a friend go with me. So the divider needs to stay the way it is....also the divider does move but who knows how long it has been since it was moved. It may be a harder task then we think. I just don't get it....he has been fine riding in the trailer the way it is for months now. I have been taking him in this trailer all summer and why now? he actually started after I had his shoes removed to try and make him a barfoot horse.....might this have anything to do with it?

It's possible that the shoe/barefoot thing is the issue. Call your farrier and see what they say.

Is it a full divider or parital?

Did he just start after you started hauling your friends horse?

No he has been riding with my friend's horse...actually he has only been hauled 1 time without another horse in that trailer. He and this other horse are buddies(which makes it difficult to do things at times). The divider goes from like 1 inch off the floor up probably 3.5 - 4 feet I think.
