are her pasterns as bad as i think they are???

Her pasterns look fine, she's a good looking mare. I would not put boots on her in the pasture and for everyday riding. If anything that will cause problems.

Just ride and train her normally. Use the boots if you're going to be doing something hard like jumping or barrels.
