I almost made the stupid mistake of buying a buckskin gelding just because of his color. I drove all the way to NC to look at him, he was smaller than I really needed, and when I tried to get on him, he took off and caused me to fall and pull a muscle in my thigh. Nevertheless, I still wanted him because he was a buckskin. Luckily, my trainer talked me out of it. And then I found Shamrock. :) He's beautiful, kind, willing, etc. with minimal attitude. He's still green and I would trust him with total beginners. He's THAT awesome. :)

We had one named "jug" She was the sweetest darn thing but her name most definitely suited her. Still one of the best kids horses we ever owned.

I feel so blessed. I am a new first time horse owner and lucked out. Not only did I buy a shiny Cadillac with chrome (looks), it came with great gas mileage (temperment). Throw in the purty registration Sam came with (background champion winners) and I even have engraved and matching floor mats!
