Hey Guys!!!! Thought I would throw out an update :)

Hey guys I know I havent posted much on here in quite some time I have been so busy.
Navaho Is a year old now his birthday was July 14th.

My moms horse Buck is doing awsome hes gained lots of weight,
We took Navaho and Buck to the Childrens Wish ride held in BC it was a great experiance for a baby!!!

I also Have good news I just got another horse today, I found him in the paper for free, hes 15 year old Bay with small star, Morgan X TB was a SPCA rescue 6 years ago! The lady is moving and cant take the horse with her so she wanted him to find a good home.

I have been working alot latly on my riding and man it has payed off. The lady who owned the property of were the horse was, is a coach and she was amazed! She liked how confident I was with Charlie, and I have a very soft seat and gentle hands so I stayed off his mouth the whole ride, he was great, bucked a few times but even then I just sat back and kept my leg on him and rode him through it.

We trailerd him home today and to make it a legal thing the old owner wrote up a letter stating she is signing the ownership over to me as of today, and that she recevied 1 dollar from me! lol

Charlie needs some weight and shoes put on and some time, but hes a great horse, he dosent like confined spaces like paddocks etc, he paces around like crazy.
He bucks when you ask for canter sometimes he dident today lol.
you cant be harsh on his mouth or anything hes very sensitive, He rears ocassionly on the ground he did yesterday when i rode him.
Im not to worried I got him so that I can do some dressage hes got amazing movement, I was told hes 15.2 but i think hes about 16. or so hes about the size of buck just alot thinner.
Im going to be hauling him to the place I work to get lessons with my boss lol. shes a level 3 coach shes amazing. i love her to bits.

Other then that im going away this friday moms looking after the horses for me. Megan Pat and I are going camping at my dads cabin for the weekend im so excited. Its going to be awsome.

any ways I have attached 3 photos of charlie the new horse :)

Congrats on the new horse. I think by getting to know him you should be able to figure out why he does some of the things he does and you might be able to rectify some of it. He started these nervous type behaviors because something had happened or he was in a stressful environment for to long. Give yourselves some time:)

Will be expecting some riding photos from your new equine superstar.

haha riding photos for sure, And more photos to come in the next few days. Ya hes still new i know he will settle down I think he was more concerned about were the other 2 horses were. So i just ended up letting him back out they all were getting along I only put him in the paddock so he would eat. but I figured hes not going to gain weight by being a nervous reck when he could be out with the others grazing and eating hay... left the paddock open since theres a huge pile of hay in there, I know Chunky baby there Navaho will eat it all up ..

It totally is! I tore all the ligaments in my left leg 2 years ago comming off a 17.1 TB . This year I have finally gotten back into riding my knee dosent hurt anymore. its awsome.
For awhile I was so down I couldent do anything. Riding hurt.

Then I decided I wasent going to ride anymore just because I was supposed to have surgery and I turned it down, somedays my leg still bothers me but not to much.

Thats why Navaho is so special all becuase of him I pushed myself to become a better rider I dont take lessons, I just ride. lol.
I make myself learn how to do things on my own I do talk to my boss who has offerd me free lessons, I give her some of my time and hop on a few horses at the barn and so on, Right now im working with a black pony mare, Shes cute, not broke under saddle but my job is to get her ready!!!

Charlie is settling in more now, I havent gotten anymore pics yet, Im leaving today for 3 days. I finally get a weekend off! YAY

Anyways guys I will ttyl.

Hey guys Charlie has already gained weight and looking great, hes getting front shoes on Aug, 15th.
I found out a few things with him lol.

1. He rears if you try and spray him with flyspray.. Good to know!
2. Does rear under saddle.
3. Dosnt bolt, but spooks at everything. stumps, Bushes, Rocks, Birds, Puddles,
4. Good with 1 other horse on the trail.
5. Can be a scardy cat, and refuse to go forward good thing buck is big and brave

I went on a trail ride with my mom yesterday it was the 4th ride on Charlie, it went well untill we ran into a guy in a van he wasnet supposed to be out there he tried to tell me he was working out there lol... and that he had a key and that was how he got in, I asked what gate and hes like the one down there. I laughed at him and said bull**** that gate dosnt have a lock it was vandalized again... you dont have a key and your not working out here.
hes like i cant back up so you need to find a spot that i can go by you.
So I turn around and my mom follows and she was telling me to calm down and i was so mad at him , charlie ended up freaking out and going into the bush sideways and rearing up and leaping sideways, i just held the buckle and let him do what ever he was going to do. fianlly i got him out of the bush with the guy in the van right behind us, got to the wide spot waited for him to go by and i went to go by and he stopped and dident ask if i was ok but was like so whos property is this and i was like it aint yours and it aint mine but you haveing a vehicle in here is tresspassing. and i was bascly behind him and he spun the tires.
I got his licence plate # stupid *******.
I hate people like that. sorry i had to rant, it wasnt fun.

Anyways Charlie calmed down pretty quick and we continued on, it was just a short loop and then back down the side of the road which he was great.

We sure know how to pick horses lol. I get the crazy Arab wanna-be and my mom gets buck who by the way we thought was gunna have to have a nap 1/2 way home lol walking with his eyes closed lmao pretty cute, droopy lip although we started trotting and charlie was doing great, so brave and such nice trot, and buck was like outa controll and charlie stayed calm he just arched his neck more like an arab, its definely the Morgan X TB in him lol.
