Horse blankets..weatherbeta versus Tough 1

Does anyone have any opinions on weatherbeta turnout blankets versus Tough1 brand?.. I am wanting a 69 definitely waterproof with fill, and easy snap front..

I mainly want to make sure it is waterproof....

Thanks

I have both brands, each I got used and I like the weatherbeta best, the tough one is a very nice blanket also, but the part where the belly straps are attached to the blanket are starting to come off and I'll probably have to sew them soon to keep the straps from breaking. My favorite blankets are the schneiders brand from sstack.com

From every review I have read tough-1 is horrible therefore I will never buy one. With blankets you very much get what you pay for. I love the Amigo blanket I have but I cannot afford to replace all of them but I have Weatherbeeta and Saxon. Saxon holds up the best of all of them all 1200d of course. But the fit on Amigo is the best and the waterproofness of the Weatherbeeta is the best.

I agree with Rachel1786 the best ones I have had are the Shneider's SStack blankets. So if you are not stuck on getting the Tough 1 or the Weathabeata try a Shneiders.

I've used my Weatherbetta medium weight for three winters now. It's only 600 denier, but it doesn't have a rip on it. The hardware has held up excellently. It's super water proof; never had a problem in that area. I also have a Tough 1 turnout sheet, which is pretty okay. I like my Weatherbetta more; it's just better made.

I've had a Westherbeeta and a Tough1 for two winters now. Zero problems with either.

I recently went through trying to decide which blanket to get too. I read many many blanket independent reviews on Tough-1 and most of the reviews were bad compared to the other brands I was looking at.
I second what CowChick77 says- Schneider's have good blankets, and they have good independent reviews plus blanket warranties.

What breed of horse do you have? I prefer tough 1, I ordered a 69" for my coming 2 year old quarter horse, but I am not sure if it will be too big or too small?

I have a 14 hand app/spotted saddle mix and should wear a 69..

I have ordered other brands in the past and the fit was not right...how,do you tell the difference in the weatherbeta orican freestyle, orican original, orican standard, Saxon, taka...it is pretty confusing...

I think I am going to go with the weatherbeta orican freestyle....it has easy snap clips for the front and good wether protection.....
