    Horse Buying Dilemma

    Hello :)
So, I'd like to start off by explaining my situation.
I have a horse. She's now 13, and currently lame for the 3rd time this year.
She's also an akhal teke, and as my primary passion is dressage, this poses a problem. She's great, super hard working and everything, but it's just not fair to expect a horse bred for endurance to compete against warmbloods trained and bred for dressage.
Hence, I have been looking at getting a new horse, I've found a few I like, and am going to try them this summer.
I live in the middle east, and in a year or two I will most probably have to return to sweden in order to go to university- as the universities here do not have any courses I am interested in.
    Thus is my dilemma.
On the con side, getting a horse here is SUPER expensive. I do not want to get a horse just to have to sell it in a year or two.
However, if I do not get a horse, it may well be the end of my riding career for a very long time.
Sorry for the long post, I'd just really like some input on this.
    Thank you.
