Horse Career. To be, or not to be?
That is definitely the question.
I'm 16 years old, and thinking about career options.
For years, all I've wanted to do with my life is a career with horses.
I've wanted to be in barn management.
But recently, I'm starting to wonder. Is it really that smart? Sure, I can still ride and compete, and own horses. But is it entirely necessary to have my whole career be around horses? I'm worried about the financial aspects too. I know you can't base everything off of money, but I'm still concerned. I want to be able to help support a family, and in this economy, that would be hard. The industry could get better, but I need to have something that will help.
The biggest problem is, I don't know what else I'd do. I could work at a barn, maybe. But for my career, I am sort of clueless.
Any words of advice?
