Horse Choice

So, I have a choice to make. I have been looking for largepony/ sm horse for a while. I've found one in SD an hour or so away. 4 yrs old had 90 days. She had a hard life and was starved twice but she is gentle and sound. Now a friend of mine tells me that she needs to get rid of some horses due to circumstances, but she wont sell me the one I want. Instead she offers me the 15yr old broodmare. Lol I told her that I didnt quite think that would work and I have not heard anything. Do I tell her im only interested in the other? And give her the last chance. Or do I just go ahead with the other one, which is started whereas my friends is not, and she is free if I pay coggins/health/transport.
I really want to help my friend, but she dosent seem to want to part with the one pony. Lol Her others don't fit my criteria. I've been stalling for my friend but it doesn't seem like its getting anywhere.

Move on. She's had her chance and if you don't want the one she wants to sell then she can find someone that does want it. I would go get the one in South Dakota.

Your looking at getting a huge animal that will be with you for years to come. You shouldn't pick a horse because you feel bad for someone else. This is your money...your time.. pick a horse that YOU want. Not what someone else wants for you. Just my .02 worth.

"Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I told her I wasn't interested in Twilight due to age. Her other mare would work, but she doesn't seem to want to part with her. She didn't want to let Twilight either till a recent change of events. My limit is only one more horse at the moment and I wont be able to help her if I take the one in SD.

Go take a look at her. You have nothing to lose and you never know. Did you see the other one yet? It might turn out that little horse is really nasty not what the add described. Might turn out the same thing with the broodmare.
You know what you're looking for so you'll make the right decision but I would go take a look just because you can and you simply never know what you will see.

Good luck!
