horse college

Hello All!

Happy Turkey Day!!.

ok so I have a ways to go before college but I'm starting to explore my options.....So I was looking last night at a couple of "Horsey" colleges. I really want to go to one that doesnt specilize in anything else, if that makes any sence. I found Meredith Manor in WV , Which looked really good. So my question is.. Has any one ever gone to Meridith? Did you like it?. And if you went to another horse college which did you go to?.

Thanks all!

Try Research Roger Williams in Rhode Island. My coach was the instructor there for a while, and they have a great equine program.

I'm not really looking to be on a horse team, I'm really looking at a horse only college that only specilizes in horses.

I'm not sure there would be.

Where I am going, there are three BIG concentrations that the school is known for and of course many others. One of the big ones is Equestrian.

What exactly do you want to do?

I didn't go there but I know a number of people who went to River Falls Wi. and say its a great horse school. Also the one in Crookston Mn. has a good reputation.

There's Cobleskill and Morrisville in New York. Both are good colleges, but Morrisville has a bigger equine program than Cobleskill does

I was actually looking at Meredith Manor for a while. I've heard some good things about it, but it's a bit too expensive for me. It's the only college that is completely about horses. I'm looking at a college in Oregon right now that looks like a good school. But I also have a bit of a budget, so yeah.

I was thinking about Meredith Manor too. I am torn though. My biggest thing is for how expensive it is, the dorms should be better. They have normal dorms which don't look very well maintained, but they also have converted school buses and shipping crates made into their family housing type thing.
That's quirky and i guess cool if you're into it, but it kind of makes me question them.

Reese, I heard that Michigan State was a very good school. Should I go to graduate school, that would be one of my top picks.

I am going here.
