there is something about a grey horse that i love. a young grey horse, with a blueish tint to the coat and just greying face is gorgeous to me. or a dappled grey with black mane/tail. now thats a horse id love to own.

i also like jet black horses...non-fading.

love paints, bald faces, blue eyes and stockings. there is nothing better imo...except a grey.

dark, sooty palominos...chocolate palominos, sooty buckskins, zebra duns, badass browns, perlino, and bay and blue roans...extremely roaned out.

one thing i absolutely hate and find creepy is a bald face, very bald face and a brown eye. with no eyeliner. it makes a horse look like they have no eye. its so creepy.

i am partial to geldings. would rather own one.......and.......i own 3 mares.......sigh.......

god, Im tired of mares. I think Im only buying geldings from now on. My gelding seems so laid back compared to the mares, who always seem to have an attitude towards eachother, towards me...just opinionated, and **** it, Im the only opinionated female allowed 'round here!!!!

I like duns, and black horses, and gray horses. I always liked pinto coloring too, but id settle for anything but ginger horses at this point.

Are you aware that your two personal riding horses are those very colors? Just saying..

my 2 mares are constantly in heat. chilly teases one gelding horridly. its ridiclious. she has gotten worse over the years, and i think my other mare feeds off of her.

i just had chilly, mare, and 2 geldings. then i bred chilly, and purchased another mare, rumor. low and behold, chilly throws a filly. and i end up with 3 mares when i said id never ever own another. ...headdesk...

geldings from here on out!

I know! So unfair, right? Although....Rafe is more of a blood chestnut instead of an orangey sorrel. His momma's an orangey sorrel

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Hahaha. I lucked out. Every time I see someone else's buckskin, my first reaction is, "Wow, that's a really pretty color!" ..and then remember that I have one..

But really, I like most black-based colors. I'm not really a red fan. Palominos and really orangey red duns are fine, but meh on the rest of them.

I find it hard to pick a fav colour or gender. I like mostly all colours. I always dreamed of owning a grey Arabian horse as a child but now it's less important. I own a black Canadian mare with a star, and three geldings- a sorrel and white tobiano Paint, a bay Arab/Saddlebred with a star, strip, and snip with some chrome and a red roan leopard Appaloosa. I guess thats why I have such a varied group. It's impossible to choose a favourite!!

It will be easier to just say the colour I'm not a fan of since I don't really have a favourite. The only colour I am not really into is chestnut the more orange they are and the less white they have the less I like them.

I suppose it makes sense for me to have 2 chestnuts of my own lol. They just seem to attract to me. Luckily both my boys stand out quite a bit with their markings etc.

I also don't have any preference or for gender.

I much prefer geldings to mares. Worked with all mares at a Girl Scout horse camp and it was like dealing with thirteen hormonal teenage, drama queen girls. Ugh. No thanks.

As far as colors...

My absolute favorite color is a beautiful blood bay with some chrome. Blaze, socks/stockings. Nomz!

I am also partial to buckskins (golden, not buttermilk), black, dark bay/browns, and grays (until they go white lol). I don't mind chestnuts or duns or any other color, really. With or without chrome, doesn't matter (unless it's a dark bay/brown, and then I like no white at all...knew a Holsteiner gelding that was dark bay/brown with absolutely no white and he was gorgeous).

I also like loud paints/pintos, no matter their base color.
