    Horse found

So yesterday afternoon while walking through our broodmares and what do I find a stallion not a saddlebred looks like a farm horse. So we caught him and put him in a stable but now comes the job of finding its owner we can't take care of him forever we have over 70 horses of our own so this is him image.jpg

So, are all of your mares going to get Lute? THe ones that were open, that is........otherwise you may end up with a lot more horses.

Have you tried contacting the sheriff or local law enforcement? In rural areas, at least here, people call them to report a missing animal. The local paper may do a found ad for no charge.

It could be that they have a lot of horses like you and don't realize he's missing. I would still call the authorities and report that you found him. If you do choose to give him away, get their number in case the owner does come looking for him.

In the pic, he does look a little thin. It could be that the owner could no longer care for him and turned him loose. But he could have just escaped too.

About a year ago, our six horses at that time had escaped over night. We were devastated. We thought we lost all of them and could have. Luckily, the guy that found them in his yard, called the sheriff and reported them. We had just recently moved them there so no one knew whose horses they were. He could have easily kept them and then sent them to auction without anyone knowing.

Now, we are known in the area as the ones with the horses that escaped. Not funny then but we can laugh about it now.

During last years drought people wer giving away horses or just turning them out fo others to gather and take to the nearest shelter.
1000's of donkeys have been abandoned to make more grazing available for cattle and goats.
Good luck with finding him a good home I hope he does well in it. Shalom
