Horse girl's honeymoon

Hi everyone,

I just joined the forum to see if anyone had some good advice. My fiance and I are getting married this fall and we're planning on doing a road trip for our honeymoon. Probably 10 days long. We live in Michigan and are planning on going west. I've got a few locations picked out but I figure a group of people with her common interest and ask for help. It will be in late September/early October. Here is what I have so far for ideas:

B&B's every night
Shedd's Aquarium - Chicago, IL
Black Hills Horse Sanctuary
Mount Rushmore
Wind Cave

The states I'm pretty sure we'll be going through are the following, if you have any ideas while going through these:

Northern Illinois
Southern Wisconsin
Southern Minnesota
Southern South Dakota

Around 3500 miles according to Google Maps and 2 days and 8 hours of driving. So around 6 hours of driving a day average.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! I know you will enjoy every moment of your time in the Black Hills. I myself have never gone to the Sanctuary, simply because it is kind of costly. But, it is a good cause. Enjoy!
