At camp we have a buckskin and his Name is Tivio we had another named Billy but he retired and when my Mum was growing up she had a buckskin named Trigger. I know you said he's a palomino but they're kinda close so one of these names might fit your horse

Well as he's from scotland and wales I'd say a good gaelic or welsh name!

Rhys (Reese)
Ruriadh (rhu-ree [like Rory, but Ru)
Tavish
Lachlan
Erroll
Fergus
Ghillie (gill-eee)

Scottish islands:

Tiree (ty-ree)
Mouse (after the island Mousa which is off the coast of shetland)
Raasay
Rum

I like names that have a special meaning or are personal :)

My boys name is Reily, I named him after my grandma (it's her maiden name) because she's always been very supportive of my love of horses/animals. Plus I have never seen that spelling anywhere, so even though 'Riley' might be a common name there are very few 'Reilys'

That said.. I actually like the name Bruno for a thicker, manly looking horse.
