I'm still really new at this, and I know nothing about western riding at all, but... is it me or is something wrong with this horse's right hind? I saw her as I was browsing horses for sale, and it really stuck out at me as being off. Am I just missing something and it's a super special western move? Sorry for being dumb. :/

She looks lame in the right hind. She also drags her back hooves. She does that little hop at the trot because she's in pain.

    Yeah. Great deal, right?

Btw, OP, I say the same when I see new things like that...I'm like..."Is this a fancy thing I don't understand or is it just WAY wrong??"

She looks unbalanced to me, probably because she is not being ridden in her true gaits. She has elevated movement and a troubling headset, which to me says she is unbalanced and moving too slow/too short of a stride.

    She looks "sound" otherwise, IMO.
