From past experience I usually ask about 250 or 300 more than I expect to get and put "Open to Offers" on the ad. Always set a lowest price for yourself. For example if you want 2000, then ask 2300 or so, and don't take less than 2000. It really is all about being firm and market value in your area.
People tend not to get the whole firm on price thing, even if you say it, so always expect lower offers and remember you don't have to take them.
