Horse stuck in the mud

Wow, talk about a problem:

Incredible horse rescue Photos | Incredible horse rescue Pictures - Yahoo! News

Can you imagine?

More here:

Poor horse, glad this had a happy ending.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wow. That was a close call.
I have personally sedated two horses (several years apart) so that rescue crews could get them out of cattle guards. One did great. The other had some damage to a hoof but she came out ok eventually.

Holy snap! That's one heck of a sink hole.
Good to hear he made it out okay! His poor owner looked pretty distraught in a few pictures.

My friend & I had our horses sink in quick mud not too long ago-we got them out but we were mighty scared & really became cautious of where we were going.

one hint is to spray water from fire hoses down around their legs as you are pulling them out.

This article has some quotes from the lady.

"We went straight down and under. There was mud everywhere and every time I moved it sucked me back down. It wouldn’t let us go...............”
