I have 15 minutes until I have to go turn off the water to the horses or I will run us out of water so I have my remember water sticky in the middle of the screen to remind me. Yes, Stan, over 60 and galloping toward 70. It was just a guess that there might be others in my category. Glad to see that there are so we can commiserate, acorn. I don't even know what a combine is, Golden Horse. All the ranches around here are being subdivided and property prices are sky high. Got to go turn off water and finish fencing before the rainy season starts in earnest.

My sister lives in Oregon-when is it not "rainy season"? (With advanced age, I have learned that I do not melt-LOL).

SW Oregon monsoon season is October to June. Summers are completely dry - ride the rapids Tourist Season. AZ probably gets half inch of rain a year if you are lucky. You don't want to do fencing in the rain around here because it is hard to dig the mud out of the hole and the post holes fill with water before you get the post in. However pounding in a T post is heck of a lot easier.

This is my first ride on that mare I bought, what a sweetie she is and what an awesome fall day. 70 degrees and a nice breeze to rustle the leaves nicely.

^^^^NICE!!!! And nice weather too. I can feel snow in the air here, but today was ok, no hail, or rain, the frost melted and the sun came out. I actually removed my coat and rode in a hoody. Haven`t been able to do that for a few days.

    You look good together Dimsum

Still trying to get done with harvest here, the last two days (whichever they were) were an absolute nightmare. Hang on, checks calendar, OK, Thursday today, so Tuesday, hubby hits head on a bin and cuts it open, have to doctor him before we start.

Take combine in field, get a couple of hours in, then she fell through the ground into a sink hole of sorts..

Took a while to get her out so lost half a day, oh and the unload spout was on the water side, and the truck we unloaded her into got stuck, so the big tractor had to pull that out first, and then the big tractor had a small fire in the cab....Remind me why we farm.

Wednesday we are meant to be changing the discharge on the combine from chopping and spreading straw, to dropping in a swath so we can bale it, but the system went wrong, blocked the combine and burnt out a belt. Had to go to the city for a new one, another half day lost.

Today was a better day, slow to get started as we had a shower of rain first thing, but now the boys are working until it rains, we have a heavy rain warning.
