Golden Horse - that looks so sore, I admire how well you've bounced back from it.
Not so much bouncing, as still walking carefully,
I have got this far in my thinking
So everything was 100% my fault, nothing to do with poor Ben, BUT, when I realized that everything was working still I got back on Ben and rode him walk/trot on both reins until I was breathing normally and naturally, and smiling again, by the the heavens had opened and it was bucketing down with rain, so I quit.
SO the bad things, well no one like falling off and getting hurt, so that bit was bad.
The good things, nothing is hurt bad, just bumps and bruises, I thought Jim would be totally down on Ben, but actually is OK with it all. Having got the fall out of the way I can relax a bit a and say no biggie.
The biggest thing though, there was simply no need for me to fall off, I allowed the fear to dictate my actions and reactions, and I stopped riding and I stopped listening. I have a good seat, and Ben has got a lot to hang onto, so if I had visualized positive rather than going in expecting the issue I could of ridden him through that so easily.
I need to keep up the diet and fitness bit, well keep up the diet and add targeted fitness. because I CAN ride, and I can ride a buck, so I sure as hell can sit an exuberant transition, I just need to sit up, and RIDE the **** thing.
