Horse Trailer/Tack Insurance

The last horse trailer we owned I insured through the same company I use for our pickup. But now since this trailer we just bought is 6ft longer it is no longer insurable through them. They only insure trailers up to so many feet. And it did not include tack. I would like to include tack since the majority of the time the trailer is where our saddles are stored since we don't have a barn/tack room at our house.

What company do you guys use? And if you don't mind telling, what are you rates?

If you have horses or any amount of land you should look at farm bureau and a farm policy. You'd be amazied at how much difference it is from a typical homeoners policy. Homeowners are typically worthless to anyone but the bank.
My farm policy included equine liabillity, tractor and equipment coverage, barn coverage, and horse trailer coverage that also covers tack as long as it isnt for business use. The truck insurance rates are reasonable as well. Switch everything over.

Thanks Joe for the suggestion! Good idea.
