Horse Trailering Caravan Needed!

So theres a horse at the barn I used to board at whose owners just fell through. He needs to be gone in one to two weeks or else they are running him through the auction. He's a great little horse, AQHA registered, competed in halter, pleasure, trail, etc. He's having some herd bound issues and the current owners don't want to deal with it apparently.

The lovely centrestableswendy has offered to give him a great home but heres the catch...we need to get him from Montana to PA with a non-existant budget.

We wanted to see if anyone would be interested in setting up some sort of If people could volunteer to trailer lengths of road through their state then meet up with someone else, we could get Josh to Wendy.

Anyone know of anything like this or think we could pull it off? What about any other ideas?

I used to do rabbit rescue, and there was an organization called the Bunderground Railroad. It was made up of volunteers who would sign up to drive "legs" of the trip, usually 150-400 miles. They would set up a meeting/stop over location, and the next volunteer would pick up and continue on. I'm hoping that someone may know of something like this in place for horses, or may be able to help. Josh would have a WONDERFUL forever home as a pasture pet and trail horse, and live happily with 4 other horses in a great place with a huge pasture, wading pond, 24/7 pasture access, and 2 daily feeding in his own stall. I provide all of the care for the current horses, and was given the invitation to keep my own horse there for free. I would much rather make an effort to get Josh here so he doesn't end up at auction or worse. If anyone has any ideas, please, please, please contact myself or Spastic! Thanks everyone!

If I were on that route and still had a horse trailer, I would volunteer! I hope that this works out. Good luck you guys!

Psh, I'd make you for that breastcollar you owe me! Kidding of course!

Also, if anyone else is interested in another horse, I can put you in contact with the owner. He's completely sound, 15.3, I believe he is 6. Registered with showing experience. Extremely intelligent horse that I don't want to end up in the wrong hands. Please only contact if interested though because we don't have too much time to waste.
