Guys, stop, I'm dying!!!
Heres one that made me lose all respect for my cooking teacher (and maybe made me look a tad obsessed lol)
Teacher: This type of cheese is made from fermented mares milk. Guys, who knows what a mare is?
Me (literally the only one in class who spoke up): A female horse.
Teacher: Right! A female horse with a colt.
Me: No, just a female horse.
Teacher: *gives me the look* No, it's a female horse with a colt. A filly is one without a colt.
Me: *facepalm*
I just gave up after that XD

The horse I had as a kid was a paperd appy. My mother would tell people that we had a "throughbred appaloosa". I could not convince her that throughbred was another breed of horse.

well, folks used to call a female horse who was still a maiden a "fillly", no matter how old she was, until she had a "colt" (which , in most people's mind, is any baby horse , male or female). Then ,is was "filly" until she was about 2 years old, whether she had a foal or not.

^it makes a bit of sense. We still have different names for cows depending on if they've been bred or not.

These are all quite amusing, wish I could add one but my creative bone just isn't kicking today.

Ahahha, omg, too funny!
