I'm not sure if these are funny, but they are most definitely real- I.e., my reasons for not riding last night

    1. She had her teeth floated the day before, she might still be sore.
    2. She had her shots the day before, she might still be sore.
    3. It's really windy and the doors of the arena are rattling, so she'll probably be jumpy and we won't have a good ride anyway. Better not push it and give her a negative experience.

I did ride tonight though, and for the record, it was still windy, and she was jumpy! But it was worth the workout.

    Come on guys, get silly!

    Ok. Taking from Egrogan . . .

    1. She had her teeth floated the day before, she might still be sore.
    2. She had her shots the day before, she might still be sore.

    And adding more . .

    3. She had a pedicure yesterday, she might not want to scuff her nails
    4. She just got new shoes and the shine from them might spook her.
    5. She just had her shots and she needs a hot water bottle and a nap
    6. She just had her nose hairs clipped and she's ashamed to be seen without them.

    7. She thinks it's her birthday, so I know she'll be jumpy looking for the surprise!

    8. My horse wont' canter to the right becuase it would break his solid stread of left lead departs. He's trying for a Guiness World Record.

    9. I can't get on my horse from the ground because the gravity is really fierce today.

    10. I can't post correctly because I have one leg that's longer than the other.

She's not lunging properly because I'm wearing sunglasses and she can't see my eyes.

I think he was peaking out the stall while I was watching the Nascar race in the barn and now I can't get him to lunge to the right.

I can't ride her today because I just attempted my first body clip... She's too embarrassed to leave her stall.
(Insert completely botched job, mutilated horse image!)

My horse is totally bombproof! She only spooks at plastic bags, children, llamas, ponies, cows, cars, kittens, logs, rocks, prams, baseball players, pavement, other people... Well... She's more of an arena horse.

I am SO using that one next time my instructor starts yelling at 4'11 me to mount our 16.2hh mare from the gound!

She doesn't want to be caught, you don't have the right color combination of lead rope and halter. (er...my mare is actually sort of like this. Not with color, but if its not HER halter she starts giving you the evil eye and trying to evade you >.>)
