What is it about your horse that makes you love it so much? We've all seen pics of most peoples horses and most of them look gorgeous but what are the things about your horses personality that make him/her so special?

Ill start;

Possum - she follows me around like a puppy dog
Her bottom lip trembles when food is coming
She is always licking my hands and arms and sometimes my face
She is pretty and she knows it and tries to use it to her advantage :)

Cougar - he nods his head vigorously when you are walking over with his feed bucket :)
He ALWAYS farts when you ride him
He's old and he's cranky but loveable
He lifts up his feet for you when you are picking them

Jarred - he thinks he's a stud muffin
He thinks he's king of the world and tries to boss everyone around but all the other horses are rolling their eyes at him I swear
He does this silly little nicker when you are putting his feed in his hanger. He's so excited but he knows he's not allowed to eat it until im done and out of the way :)

Blu is very high-spirited. But he looks to me for confidence. He is very outgoing without being too much. When I pick his front feet he rests his head on my back. When I scratch him right in THE spot on his neck he stretches in that oh-this-feels-so-good kind of way.

He's amazingly trusting. When he colicked and he allowed me to lay by his side to comfort him...I knew we had an unbreakable bond fraom beginning to end.

The things I love about Vega. Hmm

When she's in heat, she HAS to impress the boys.
She bows when I try to pick up her front feet.
She's very curious and investigates my hair/clothing everytime I see her.
If i'm scratching her cheeks, she'll raise her head so I can scratch under her jaw.
When she had mud fever last year, she almost peed on a girl there that I don't really like (the girl was inspecting her back feet when she did it )
She's very lovable, and she's my best friend.

I don't have any current horses at the moment, so I'll do my past horses:

Dancer:
Spooky mcSpookerson! But always tries hard. Loves kids. She was my confidante when I needed a mane to cry in as a kid/early teenager. She is a very honest little girl. Oh, and a biiig showoff!!

Cinzano:
Mr Ego. He was the boss of his paddock. Tallest horse on the ranch. Let you know when he wasn't impressed about something. You knew when you hit the right spot when scratching him, because he'd stretch out his neck and his upper lip would twitch

My friends and I did something like this with our favorite horses at the barn, comparing them to the typical people you'd see at a high school, and this is what we came up with:

Duke (the ex-stallion I used to ride): He's a HUGE horse without being very tall.. he stands about 16.1hh, but has the muscle mass of a Halter horse... so we decided he'd be the jock, the one who has a comb in his pocket "just in case," and is always showing off his muscles.

Maddie: she's a very pretty girl, and anorexic, I swear! She'd be the popular girl at school that cries if her nails got broken.

Dancer: the girl next door.

Robin: He was always trying to show off and ended up getting hurt (ever heard of a horse getting his lip caught and ripped on a trailer? No? Me neither, till this big boy came along!) Always looking for attention, so we figured he'd be the nerd that tries to be cool.

Beau Jest: Spotted Appy, he'd be the nerd that you'd find pushing his horn-rimmed glasses up when he peeks around from the computer

Hehe.. :)[/url]

Green Broke
Emu-
Very cunning but dosen't show it, he has like a secret evil about him. He /acts/ stupid but really he is rather smart. Acts like he wants to be petted but then moves away. He will follow you around and just stare at you. He would be a creepy goth kid

Thunder-
The smartest pony I have ever met. I have never met a horse that is more human-like then him. I cannot explain him really, you'd have to meet him. But he likes to try to kill my other horses for no reason and likes to kick down stalls. Hates hates hates men. Loves to scare you, spooks for fun, will trick you if he can. Will try to con-you into giving him more food. Way way way too smart for his own good. Extremely confident within his own self. Very power-hungry. Would make a good politician

Roman-
A very very very very smart horse in the show ring. Put him on a trail or work with him on the ground he is flat out stupid. Very self-ish, dosen't bond with people. He likes to be touched, only because he thinks it will get him food. He is the stupid jock =]

Grace-
Moody typical mare. Is inlove with my dad and Thunder. Doesn't like girls too much. Really picky and prissy. Hates being inside in a stall. She is the little old lady across the street.

Rose-
A scared little thing, very high strung. Very un-trusting and unsure about everything. Second gusses everything she does. But a understanding mare. Not moody, listens well and tries to perform. Really feeds off what you feel. She would be a goreophobic.

I really like this so im going to do my friend's horses.

Blue-
Hugeeee tuff guy. He is the kid who talks crap but does nothing. The kid who everyone is scared of.

Star-
The cute little ditzy permiscuious home town country girl who is a little whacked in the head. She would be a loud bomshell blond with a deep southern accent who all the boys drool over.

Prep-
The punk kid who starts trouble. The kid who sets stuff onfire during school or goes outback to smoke behind the school.

Sarah-
Ever heard of the movie Diary of a Mad Black woman? Yah she would be the black lady across the street yelling at her kids to stop throwing rocks at her house.

Leon-
The outcast, the one who everyone thinks is annoying, nevere gets good grades, and no body likes.

Cruiser-
A crack addict.

Lexi (my only horse at the moment LOL!) :P -

If anyone else rides her, she doesn't act as good as when I'm with her, LOL! Not at all. It's like she's a whole different horse.
If other people ride her, like one of my friends, they are like 'omg how do you ride her?!" Yeah. I like that she always is there for me, if I'm sad or anything. She's like a bestfriend to me!
She is very good, but sometimes she spooks at the smallest things! She rarely bucks or darts off, but she DOES NOT like deer, LOL! She is just so affectionate to anyone she meets! With her paddock friends she can be a bit mean sometimes lol but she likes to have her space. :) I LOVE that she always comes when I call her, too; even when her mouth is full of hay, hehe!
