Horses of the Civil War

This is a real good read for anyone interested. It needs pictures, but is still good without.

That is interesting, allot of TB

A good cowboy always has a better horse at the end of the ride, a poor cowboy will be afoot reguardless of the horse.

morgans men rode thru a town close to where I live, everyone hid their valubles and horses in the woods for fear they would be stolen. Morgans men were confederates that kept fighting after the war was declared over.

General Morgan was killed on Sept. 4, 1864. If you are talking about his great raid of 1863, the war was still going on. And compare that with Sherman 's march thought the South and Sheridan's raids in the Shenadoah valley.

I liked it, very good read. Would it be ok if we have one of our moderators post the thread with the "famous horses" sub forum, to better track it?

You can, but why would you? That sub forum wasn't there when it was posted in the middle of last year. I don't see why it should be moved.
