Horses going to slaughter:"(

When I get older and have my own barn and stuff, I am going to save the horses that are going to slaughter. What do you guys think about that?

I think it's going to be hard to save all the horses if they do open the slaughter plants.
I think slaughter is a necessary evil, but something that needs to be regulated.
My focus is on prevention.

Good luck

Have fun. I wish you all the luck in the world. If you CAN take them in, more power to you.

Are you looking to have a rescue organization of sorts, or just take them in for your personal horses.

Seeing as how theres about 135,000 slaughtered just from the U.S. Alone your going to need a big bank account. Save that 135,000 and theres lots more where they came from.

Even saving just one, IMO, is great.

I don't see where I was arguing in any way? Just staing the fact that if your going to save all the horses that go to slaughter your going to need a big bank account. Seems your the one looking to argue unless you think its going to be cheap.

Morganshow11, that is a wonderful aspiration, and if you are only able to save a few, that will still be a great accomplishment.

Good luck with that in your future.

That's a great goal, Morgan. Are they going to be your personal riding horses? Or would you try to adopt them out?
