Smile Horsey "How To" Project :)

    Hey everyone!
For my english class my teacher is making us to a how to project. I decided to put together a video of something that related with horses that I could do with my own horse out at my barn.

    So heres the thing...
I don't know exactly what type of "how to" I should do.
I ride english and jump, am in Pony Club, etc... so I could do just about anything that can be made into a 4-6 minute video.

Sorry if this doesnt belong here and in another forum section
...after I finish the video this weekend I will gladly post it on here for you to veiw.

    Thanks! E

How to clean and store tack.

How to match the color of your attire to the color of your horse.

How to post on the correct diagonal or feel the correct lead.

    How to groom for show.

I can think of many more, but lets give others a chance.

    Oh those are good ones...
Those are some of the kindof obvious ones I missed. I like the lead and diagonal one. I could use different colored wraps and stuff.

    Anyone else??

I stilll need more ideas... Please?

Well, you're doing this for non horse people right? Seems like the most obvious and easiest would be, "How to Groom and tack your horse."

Go through the steps of grooming, proper ways to approach a horse, how to pick feet, what brushes to use, where to stand, how to put on a saddle and tell if it is tight enough, how to walk a round a horse without getting kicked, how to give a horse a treat without loosing your fingers, etc.

Or maybe a "dos and Dont's of horse care...sort of along the same lines, but dispelling popular myths...not sure what those could be.

Yes I am presenting the video to my nonhorsey classmates. That sounds like a good idea too!
I looked up a bunch of topics in one of my horse care books, so I think I just need a few more ideas....

    How to measure a saddle

Wow....didn't know there was that much stuff. Lol sorry!
