Lots of ways - depends on the horse. In general terms, some horses will behave for some people and not others, they'll listen, in a scary situation they will sometimes keep it together until you help, or maybe they freak out but you can help them calm down, they'll go where you point even though they may not like it. Will all horses do that? Maybe no. But those are things you can look for.
For example, when I took my horse to a bombproofing clinic once we had to see who could walk through two rows of fire. My horse didn't like it and certainly didn't want to, but he did it anyway when I asked. Then he did it a few more times until he did it at the speed I asked for. Posted via Mobile Device
