How to create or decorate jumps ? (Cheaply)

Ok I really need Slips confidance to improve when jumping and I want to have safe jumps so im going to upgrade jumps and also make safer ones at my agistment.

Ok so first things first im going to paint the timber rails all crazy colours, ill call every paint shop nearby to find the cheapest exterior wall paint. Ill buy colours Red,Blue,White, Yellow and ill see if I can mix thise colours to make new colours.

Than I had an idea of buying fake plants (from cheap 2 dollar shops) and glueing them in pots to place beside jumps.

Than ill use the barrels that are not rusted and ill paint them.

Ok so any one have any more ideas ?
Im not sure how to decorate jump wings without making them unsafe.

At my old barn, they would paint cute designs like smiley faces onto the wings. At the barn I'm going to, for a summer show they glued wooden umbrella cutouts that they painted onto the wings.

You can often get cheap paint at Home Depot or Lowes in the paint department that have been mismixed. You can also use PVC pipe (4 inch diameter) which is pretty cheap. Some also comes with predrilled holes you can stick your plants or flowers into. Look for used window boxes and flower pots-ike on Craigslist maybe, or at garage sales.......they make good jumps.

The decorations on the standards and the rails matched at my old barn (I think!). Another good idea would be to match them. If you have a pink, orange, and yellow umbrella on the standard, paint the rails pink orange and yellow!

At my first barn we would use Colored duck tape to decorate PVC pipes with stripes.

I put fake flowers/plants in old plant pots......we have a training arena and the horses go out there, they yank the flowers/plants out and drag them all over....so don't leave them out where the horse can play with them....

OH yea im going to definitely do that ! Ill put a picture of the flower boxes and flower pots I made today made them all for under 50 Australian $ but any one could make them much cheaper I just had to buy 3 flower boxes but you can find them in hard rubbish, so I could have made the flower boxes and flower pots for 30-40 $.
Next time theres hard rubbish, im going to stash flower boxes pots and any thing good for making jumps.
