How I spent Boxing Day *picture overload*

Just wanted to share some photos from my boxing day.

We spent Christmas with OH's family 4 hours away from home, so on the journey back we stopped in at a couple of places

The first was a racecourse about 2 and a half hours away from home.

And then we stopped in at the trotting track about half an hour from our place

Thats so cool, I have always wanted to go to the races, there is Tbs and pacers actually not that far from my place about 15mins.
Is one of them the one in Pinjarra?
Or am I way off as I am sure there are heaps of race tracks in WA lol

It is a lot of fun! Although I must say the pacers were more exciting than the gallopers!

Some poor old dude got trampled by a horse that reared and came down on him, tough old bugger got up brushed himself off and went back to business!

Agreed! He literally went under the horse's front feet, rolled and went under the back feet. He got up, got the horse set for the race and went to walk away. The officials dragged him over to the ambulance, where they bandaged the worst cut and sent him on his way. He came over to where we were standing, still bleeding. When we mentioned it to him his words were "she'll be right mate, just a bit of bark off!"

Another horse did have a bit of a freak out from all the commotion and slipped and fell in the harness. But he got back up and set up just in time to start his race.

    It was pretty crazy haha.
