Huntington Rider found dead

FORT SMITH — A member of the Sebastian County Mounted Patrol has been found dead on her property in Huntington.
Officials say 44-year-old Sharon Epperson was discovered on a horse trail Wednesday afternoon.
Epperson’s son asked the sheriff’s office to check on her after he learned she hadn’t shown up for work. When deputies and Epperson’s son arrived at her residence about 4 p.m., the woman’s horse was saddled and standing in the yard.
Investigator Anthony Sacco says her body was found about a quarter of a mile from the house. Sacco says it appeared Epperson had suffered injuries from an accident involving the horse.
Her body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Unfortunately not riding alone is not always an option for some of us, unless we just don't want to ride at all.
